Open Innovation Talk: (AI) Innovations for Mountain Railway Operators

How can drones support operations in the mountains? What does it take for visitor management to genuinely change behaviour? And how can new offerings be financed and market-tested at an early stage? In three compact keynote talks, this Open Innovation Talk shows how digital and AI-based solutions can help mountain railway operators move forward: from drones for alpine safety and smart visitor flow management to crowdfunding as a tool for financing and market testing.

The event was organised by Salzburg Research, Change Tourism Austria, theEnterprise Europe Network and Lakeside Labs as part of the EDIH Crowd in Motion – AI and the IdeaSpace idea platform. It is aimed at decision-makers and those responsible for innovation and digitalisation at mountain railway companies in the DACH region, tourism and destination managers in the Alpine region, and anyone who wants to actively shape the future of the industry.

The three expert talks were recorded and are available as a learning resource. You can watch them on YouTube at any time and at your own pace. The talks are held in German.
