We support you right from the start!
The European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) help companies and public organizations to advance their digital transformation and successfully implement innovation projects. Our goal is to provide you with easy, low-threshold, and free access to tailored services and expert knowledge.
Organizations can access our services free of charge, provided the de minimis regulation is met (maximum of €300,000 in state aid over a three-year period). For companies, an additional limit of up to 3,000 employees applies.
How to Use Our Services
Get in touch with us via our form or in person at one of our events. In an initial, non-binding consultation, you will get to know our services and discuss your current situation and digital transformation needs with our experts. We will also clarify whether your organization is eligible for free support and which solution best fits your challenge. Depending on your needs, you can benefit from a wide range of services provided by our partners (see service offerings).
With the European Commission’s Digital Maturity Assessment (DMA), you receive an initial, free evaluation of your digital maturity. The survey includes questions on topics such as your use of automation and AI, your organization’s readiness for digital transformation, and how you manage data. To track your progress, the assessment will be conducted two more times: up to 3 months after the service and 18 to 24 months after the service.
Based on the DMA results, we identify your digital development potential and jointly design a tailored project. An order form is used to document the problem, requirements, planned services, and organizational framework (e.g., de minimis confirmation). After a short internal review by our experts (approx. 2 weeks), you will receive confirmation of funding.
After onboarding, your EDIH project can begin. Whether it’s a customized workshop, a crowdsourcing or crowdfunding campaign, or the development of a prototype – we support you in a practical and needs-based way, up to 100% free of charge. Completed projects may (upon agreement) be prepared and published as success stories to inspire other organizations.
